From mechanical cylinder to access control

TESA’s Proximity Knob Cylinder converts doors’ mechanical cylinders into an advanced access control system. It is an opening and closing device, simple and easy to install, with standalone, battery-powered operation.

It fits all doors (wooden, metal, glass, etc.) and is compatible with European profile cylinders, which makes it ideal for upgrading an older installation, door or lock. Identification can be by card, key fob, wristband, smartphone, etc.

Operation

  • Converts the mechanical cylinder into an access control system

  • Real-time changes: adding and deleting users / guests, setting the time
  • Remotely: opening the door from the software, locking and unlocking, activating Step mode
  • Remote logging of inside handle activation
  • Full remote management, with opening via the software or the TESA Hotel app

Openow – BLE

  • Smartphone app (Bluetooth Low Energy), for iOS and Android
  • Remote check‑in before guests arrive, with no need for reception staff 24/7
  • Stay extensions and access to common areas without going via reception
