Card, smartphone, code or wristband

The way guests get in determines the lock. See which models support each one.

Cards & keys

  • RFID card

    RFID proximity cards; 13.56 MHz technology (MIFARE) on the Spy and Donna Proximity. The Motorized Locker works with the same cards as the room locks.

  • Magnetic stripe

    A cost-effective and reliable solution with encrypted cards, or combined with RFID in the Dual versions.

  • Smartphone

    Digital key on the guest’s phone, via the Openow app and Bluetooth.

  • PIN code

    For properties without a reception. On the i‑max with Keypad, the system can email the code to the guest, and the code can expire at check‑out.

  • Fingerprint

    The Lockin G30 also opens with a fingerprint or voice command, via Google Home or Alexa.

  • Waterproof wristband

    For spas and pools, on Smartair locker locks, with update‑on‑card management and no network connection.

Can guests open the door with their phone?

Yes. The i‑minimal, i‑volution, i‑max and i‑max with Keypad open with a digital key on a smartphone, via the Openow app and Bluetooth.

How do guests get in without a reception?

With the TESA i‑max with Keypad, guests enter with a personal PIN, which the system can send them automatically by email. With the Lockin G30, they enter with an access code on the Keypad Pro.

What happens if a guest loses their card?

On the i‑volution and Donna Magnetic Stripe, lost cards are easily cancelled.

Is information lost when the battery runs out or is changed?

In the Donna series, information is not lost when the battery fails or while it is being changed. The i‑volution has non-volatile memory (1,000 openings).

Can I start with a simple system and move to online later?

The TESA Hotel platform supports Read & Write operation or a wireless connection. The i‑volution can easily be upgraded to a wireless online model.

Can guests open the locker with their room card?

The TESA Motorized Locker works with the same cards used in the room electronic locks.

Is there a solution for spas and pools?

A special waterproof wristband for spas and pools is available for Smartair locker locks.
