How does AISI 316L differ from AISI 304?

AISI 316L contains molybdenum (18% chromium, 11% nickel, 2% molybdenum), which protects against pitting corrosion in industrial and coastal environments. AISI 304 (18% chromium, 8% nickel) also has excellent corrosion resistance, including outdoors, and is intended for offices and buildings with normal requirements.

Which versions are available?

The handles in TESA’s institutional range are available on a rose, a long plate or a square plate: for entrance (with a cylinder hole), privacy (with a thumb-turn) or simple passage.

Are they suitable for doors with a panic bar?

Yes. Kubika and Obbal can be assembled with TESA panic bars, and the AISI 316L handles in the institutional range are also suitable for fire-rated doors and doors with a panic bar.

Is there a door handle without a key?

Yes, the Code Handle: it opens with a code (one master code and up to nine user codes), installs without cables and runs on two CR2 lithium batteries. It is for indoor use.

Are there handles in black?

Yes: the NSKEY KNB-0406 BL, KNB-0407 BL, KU-143 BL and XA-0137 handles in black, as well as the ESCH-0628 BL bathroom locks in matt black.
