01Our story

From hardware and paints to hotel equipment

In the early 1950s, Nikos Mizerakis started his own sole-trader business, dealing in hardware and paints. His first priority was respect for the customer: excellent quality and well-designed products, prompt service and competitive prices.

From its early years, the business began importing products from various European countries. Customers quickly came to value their quality, making the small business their first choice and the largest in Crete.

Drawing on many years of experience, the excellent teamwork of its people and its relationship with its customers, the company continues to grow with a sense of responsibility and high goals, and a long list of satisfied customers.

  1. 1950

    The beginning

    The small family business is founded. Over the years it grows, eventually employing 28 people in 4 branches.

  2. 1992

    The first electronic locks

    For the first time, we supply a hotel with magnetic card electronic locks. Many more follow, along with a long list of clients and installations, including some very important projects.

  3. 1998

    Mizerakis S.A.

    The company Mizerakis S.A. is founded, absorbing the sole-trader business.

  4. 2008

    Nal SA

    Nal SA is founded to import, distribute and support building equipment products for projects.

  5. 2011

    First in Greece with GOAP OnLine

    In May, the first installation in Greece of the GOAP OnLine system takes place at Laguna Resort & Spa, part of the Mitsis Hotels group.

    In November, TESA Assa Abloy confirms that Nal SA is the only officially certified company in Greece that sells and supports its products. In December, the Nal SA shop in Athens opens.

  6. 2025

    XENIA 2025

    Nal SA takes part in the XENIA hotel equipment exhibition at Metropolitan Expo, on 22–24 November.
